Menu-bar monitor for Mac
Know what’s using your Mac.
All the essentials. Without the overload.
RAM, CPU, GPU and thermal state at a glance, from the menu bar — with the apps holding RAM grouped, and history when you need it.

What Macometr shows
- RAMUsed and pressure, shown apart.
- CPUTotal load and every core.
- GPULoad, with a short trend.
- ThermalmacOS’s thermal state — not a temperature.
RAM
Apps, simulators and background programs — grouped.
Activity Monitor lists hundreds of processes. Macometr shows which programs they belong to, and whether it matters.
- Helpers count with their app. 300 simulator processes become one row. A Windows game in CrossOver appears as itself.
- RAM pressure, apart from RAM used. 59% in use can be perfectly comfortable. Pressure is macOS’s own signal: Normal, Elevated or Critical.
- Shows, never “cleans”. Macometr doesn’t quit, flush or optimise anything. You decide.
How the RAM numbers work
RAM used is App + Wired + Compressed. Cached files aren’t counted; macOS reclaims them when needed.
Footprints are measured per program and ranked. They include compressed memory and can count shared memory more than once, so they don’t add up to RAM used.
Coverage. Some macOS processes can’t be read. A row measured only in part says “partial”, and the app’s ? help shows exactly how much was covered.
History
Is your Mac busier than it used to be?
Up to a year, kept on your Mac. Compare a period with the one before — when prior recorded data is available.

How comparisons stay fair
Each share uses its own period’s known time, so different coverage stays comparable. Sleep and time with Macometr closed are gaps, never counted as idle.
CPU and GPU averages are the share of capacity in use while recorded. They aren’t CPU-time totals; the app lists show CPU time per app.
Without earlier recorded data there’s simply no comparison — nothing is estimated.
- 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, a year or your own dates. Choosing a period never deletes anything.
- Optional app history. Ranks apps by RAM footprint and CPU time. Off until you turn it on.
Before you upgrade
Considering an upgrade? Start with your own usage.
Macometr’s history shows how your current Mac has coped with your own work — recorded over weeks, not judged from a single moment.
- RAM pressure over time. How often it was elevated, and when.
- Swap activity. When data actually moved to and from disk.
- App resource use. Which apps used the most RAM and CPU time, if you turn app history on.
History helps you understand this Mac; it doesn’t predict another Mac’s performance.

Which Macs does it work on?
Macs with Apple silicon (M-series) running macOS 26 or later. Not Intel Macs.
Can I buy it now?
Not yet. The 7-day full-feature trial and checkout are being prepared; until then, the buttons on this site explain that instead of taking payment. Prices are set: $4.99, $9.99 or $24.99, once.
Does it free up RAM?
No, deliberately. “RAM cleaners” mostly push useful cache out. Macometr shows what’s using RAM; you decide what to close.
Does my data leave my Mac?
The current version has no network access, no account and no analytics; history stays on your Mac. Licensing arrives with the trial, and how it works — including any network check — will be described before release.
Is there a referral or partner program?
