Terms of sale for Macometr.

2. What you buy

A licence to use Macometr, a menu-bar app for Mac, downloaded from macometr.com. It needs a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 26 or later. Macometr shows RAM, CPU, GPU and thermal readings, keeps up to a year of usage history on your Mac, optional app history and reports, and on supported Macs chip temperature and fan speeds, as described on macometr.com. It shows readings only: it doesn’t free memory, change system settings or set fan speeds. Some readings depend on your Mac and macOS.

3. Free trial

The 7-day trial includes every feature and starts when you choose Start 7-Day Free Trial in Macometr. No payment details are needed and nothing is charged automatically. After the trial, Macometr needs a licence to keep showing readings; your history stays on your Mac.

4. Licence packs and prices

One-time purchase, no subscription: 1 Mac USD 4.99, 3 Macs USD 9.99, 10 Macs USD 24.99. A pack can be active on that many Macs at the same time. Payment is made through Stripe Checkout, which shows the final total and currency before you pay; Stripe may offer payment in your local currency at the exchange rate it shows. Licences for more than 10 Macs are quoted on request.

5. Contract and delivery

The contract is concluded when Stripe confirms your payment. Your licence key is then shown on the confirmation page and emailed to the address you entered at checkout, with a link to the version of these terms that applied to your purchase.

6. Activation and online checks

Enter the key in Macometr (gear menu, Licence…, Activate). Macometr contacts macometr.com to activate, about once a day to renew the activation, and when you release a Mac. An activated Mac keeps working offline for up to 30 days after its last successful check, plus a 7-day grace period. What is sent is described under Privacy.

7. Moving a licence

Choose Release This Mac on the old Mac, then activate the new one. If the old Mac is lost or no longer works, use licence recovery: it emails a single-use link to your purchase address, gives you a new key and can release the licence from the Macs using it. You can also write to us.

8. Updates

We provide the updates needed to keep Macometr in conformity with the contract for the period required by law. Other new versions and features are not promised. The direct version can check for updates from version 1.0 (17); you choose whether it checks and installs automatically.

9. Right to withdraw (consumers)

If you buy as a consumer, you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion without giving a reason. Tell us clearly, for example by email to info@mercuryproject.cz from your purchase address; you may use the model form, but don’t have to. We refund the price without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your withdrawal, using the payment method you used. After the refund, the licence stops working. We do not ask you to give up this right when you buy.

10. Defects and complaints

Your statutory rights for defects in digital content apply under the Czech Civil Code (Act No. 89/2012 Coll.). To report a defect, write to info@mercuryproject.cz with your purchase email, the Macometr and macOS versions, and what is wrong. We confirm that we received your complaint, deal with it within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, and tell you the outcome. You may ask for the defect to be fixed; if it isn’t fixed within a reasonable time, or the law otherwise allows, you may ask for a price reduction or withdraw from the contract.

11. Out-of-court dispute resolution

If we can’t settle a consumer dispute together, you may propose out-of-court resolution to Česká obchodní inspekce (Czech Trade Inspection Authority), Gorazdova 1969/24, 120 00 Praha 2, www.coi.gov.cz, through its e-portal. Česká obchodní inspekce also supervises consumer protection.

12. Using the licence

The licence lets you, or your organisation, use Macometr on the number of Macs in your pack at the same time. Please don’t share the key beyond that or resell it. A fully refunded licence stops working.

13. Liability, law and changes

We are liable as provided by law; nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer. Czech law applies; if you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protection of the country where you live. These terms are available in English and Czech with the same content. New versions apply only to purchases made after they are published; the version that applied to your purchase stays available at its own address (version 1) and is attached to your licence email.
